At some point in their training a student may decide that dancing is their life. For those students ages 12 to
18 who:
* want classes more than once a week
* the experience of rehearsing in a dance company
environment
* to perform every chance they can get
* are willing to do what needs to be done to balance
homework and their social life with dance classes and
rehearsals
for these dedicated students there is the pre-professional program.
Students must commit to classes four times a week and one two hour rehearsal. These young dancers take professional
level classes in ballet, modern contemporary and jazz to make sure they can technically and artistically able to handle the
company's choreography that is an ecclectic mix of contemporary ballet and moderrn.
Performances include the Winter Ballet, June Recital, Art in Motion shows, their own concert season and at least one
competition.
Admittance to the program is by audition only.
The next auditions will be January, 2007.
There are scholarships available for
boys 12 to 18 who audition and
are accepted into the program.
